LAS VEGAS, NV (April 12, 2016) - Continuing its nationwide expansion, Digital Lizard is installing six new HP Indigo 7900 Digital Presses — two each in its southwest, mountain, and east coast locations. With these nationwide installations, Digital Lizard will have all HP Indigo presses upgraded to Indigo 7900 specifications, allowing seamless connectivity among plants.

The HP Indigo 7900 is an ultra-high-quality liquid electrophotographic (LEP) A3+ press offering significant innovations in reproduction. Considered the latest in digital printing, the state-of-the-art, variable-data, seven-color units will give Digital Lizard customers impeccable image reproduction along with near perfect match of any color in the PANTONE® spectrum. In addition, the presses offer capabilities on synthetics, canvas, metalized, lenticular, and other materials, as well as numerous specialty-ink effects.

“As digital print partner to many of the nation’s top marketers and corporations, we pride ourselves on staying ahead of the curve,” said Bill Wieners, president of Digital Lizard. “The HP 7900 investment not only provides for new capacity at all of our sites, but enables us to collaborate with customers on even more complex, creative, and effective marketing programs.”

Digital Lizard is continuing its rapid growth. This latest investment represents their ongoing dedication to expansion in the digital space.

The HP Indigo 7900 will be showcased this week at DSCOOP 2016 in San Antonio as well as drupa 2016 this May. The press is manufactured “carbon neutral,” with higher efficiencies and reduced production waste, supporting Digital Lizard’s commitment to sustainability.

The $5.2 million investment also includes a Hunkeler POPP, replicating other equipment and allowing for full redundancies and backup across plants. Other additions are being made to warehousing/fulfillment, including a 34,000-square-foot processing center in New Jersey and fully integrated inventory management software.
